How it works
Use Add GST when your price excludes tax and Remove GST when it already includes tax. For a sale within one state, the GST is split equally into CGST and SGST. For a sale to another state, the full amount is IGST.
Add GST (price is exclusive)
GST = Amount × Rate ÷ 100
Total = Amount + GST
Example: ₹1,000 at 18%: GST = 1,000 × 18 ÷ 100 = ₹180. Total = ₹1,180.
Remove GST (price is inclusive)
Base = Amount × 100 ÷ (100 + Rate)
GST = Amount − Base
Example: ₹1,180 at 18%: Base = 1,180 × 100 ÷ 118 = ₹1,000. GST = ₹180.
